The NIGH****CHMAN - Thursday - 7/9
What a wonderful day! My Friday. The last day of work for me at either job until Sunday night at 9:45. Taking a couple of days off to watch Eddie play the great game. He will be playing at the Dr Pepper Field (right next to the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington) at 6 PM Friday, 11:30 AM Saturday, and 3 PM Saturday. Anyone wants to stop by, I will be there.
Tonight also starts Big Brother. I am a big fan. Will not get to watch it until tomorrow morning. I will watch it before I go to sleep.
Prayer requests are listed below.
Also, please feel free to just visit here. Tell us about how your day went. Your successes. Your failures. Your fun. Whatever. When I post this thread, I do not have access to any chat programs, so this sometimes substitute as that vessel for me.
Continue to keep your thoughts and prayers for the members of our Armed Forces serving around the world, especially during this time of increased awareness. Please thank God for these men and women every day. In addition, please keep the wives and family members in your thoughts.

Lynnette got a job today!
I'm really tired right now. Lying in bed while it was still dark this morning, I heard Brown Dog makes some scratching noises in his crate. I thought he was probably rearranging his blankets and hoped he'd go back to sleep. A few minutes later, same noise. Then a few minutes after that, the smell hit my room. I was woke up at 5:50am by a sick dog. I think it caught him by surprise as he never even whimpered like he normally would.
I got him outside, pulled his dirty blankies out and put them on the back patio because my washing machine was still broken, febrezed their room and then let them come to bed with me. I could tell he wasn't feeling well because my little snuggle bug went to Michael's side of the bed and did not want to even be touched. Both dogs went back to sleep. Of course, I could not so I did my job search stuff. At 7:30, he needed to go out again so we came downstairs and after he went out I gave him imodium. As of 4:30, it still wasn't helping.
I worked on making the last of the changes to the house from the walk through. I didn't finish all of them, but probably 80%. Michael can help me with the rest this weekend. My washer is fixed as of 2pm and Brown Dog's blankies are buzzing in the dryer as I type this. As I was cleaning off my vanity, I started packing my travel bag for next week. There were a few things that I needed since I hadn't traveled in a while so I did a quick Wal-Mart run a bit ago and grabbed a little dinner while I was out. My 2pm phone interview stood me up. I called her at 2:20 and got her voicemail. I left a message and she emailed me before 3 apologizing that she hadn't gotten my last email confirming the time due to a snafu in their system. If this company hadn't been on the Best Companies to Work For list in Dallas, I probably wouldn't give them a second chance. I'm waiting on a reschedule time from her for tomorrow.
I'll be around off and on tonight. Prayers for all who need them. Especially Elizabeth. And prayers of praise and thanksgiving for Lynnette's job.
