Evening all,

I'll start off by saying Sara, if you have a slip, you might need an unfill to let the band settle, check with your doc.  You are never a failure, this is just another set back.  Stick with the band rules, this is just a tool to help you get to where you need to be.

Nothing new in my world.  Need to dig up a fence post tomorrow and replace, just what I want to do in the 100+ degree weather, but needs to be done or my HOA will be breathing down my neck.

Prayers going out for the spoken and unspoken requests..  George, how is Oleta's mom doing?  Your family has been on my heart today.  Prayers for my friend Lori, she was told this eveing that her father has gone into kidney failure.  Prayers for a peaceful passing for her father.  As always prayers for our children.  Blessings to all.

Avis

Oleta's mother was moved from ICU today to CCU.  Thank you for asking.  No other real updates at this time.

Hey George.....
Well that was crapp-o that the person gave you a hard time on the phone last night!  Hopefully tonight will be better!

I got a call today from one of the local tennis coaches.  He wanted to know if the two older girls were available to play in a USTA tourny.  Both my girls are part of the USTA so could participate.  I told him, "absolutely"!  Of course we found out right beforehand that they would be playing the #1 team in the State of Illinois so knew they'd kind of be a sacraficial lamb of sorts, but it is just good tourny experience.  Heather got completely skunked.  V didn't do much better but DID win a game against the other team so at least got a point on them.  They all really had a lot of fun playing and THAT was the most important thing.  Heather's singles game had her playing a local girl since they were a few short from the other team, and her dad was sitting there.  My mom and sister came to watch and my sister said, "uhm, that guy sitting there is the District Attorney"!  I went over and talked to him....really nice guy.  Actually went to school with some of his relatives as that family name was popular out here where we live.  My dad was planning on coming to watch, but was given the opportunity to fly in an air ambulance to go pick up a liver from a hospital in Missouri and deliver it to another hospital in Indiana.  He had a great time and said it was very interesting.  Being an air ambulance delivering what they are delivering, those air ambulances get priority landing and take-off clearance so they don't have to wait long for anything!  It wasn't without issues though.....after they delivered the liver, they went to take off and as they were zipping down the runway, they heard this big THUD and the pilot immediately aborted the take-off which dad said was CRAZY!  They radioed in that they had an emergency abort and quickly got off the runway and back to the hanger.  A BIRD got in the way and got sucked into the area where the nose gear retracts up into so the on-ground maintenance guys cleaned everything out, checked out the plane and cleared it for take-off again.  Dad said it was fine, but the pilot told him that plane will not go on another run until it gets a complete check by the maintenance guys here in the morning.  OH...it rained pretty much all day again today and chilled off yet again.  I'm sitting here in my "warm" PJ's with added socks and a sweatshirt!  Another fun-filled day!!!

So I guess I should get myself to bed as I have to get the girls back out to play round two by 9:00 am!

Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow!

It is so cool that the girls get the experience.  It is so much more fun to play a match than to practice.  At least their practicing got them there.

What a freak accident with the bird.
