Protein suggestions

I have just received my variety sample pack from Nectar.  I don't want to waste them so I thought I'd ask you guys that drink them to tell me your favorite way to mix them.  I presently take the fuzzy navel and mix it with classic orange , tangerine strawberry, or ruby red grapefruit crystal lite.  I like it with those flavors.

I would be interested in ice cream recipies, especially for the chocolate, and smoothie drinks as well.

thanks for your help.

I haven't tried the fruit flavors yet, but I love the chocolate in the blender with soy milk and frozen strawberries until really thick.  I also do it with the vanilla and berries.  I mix the cappachino, chocolate, or vanilla with soy milk and then add that to decaf coffee, which is great.  Syntrax Nectar is the only protein powder I have ever found that I consider good!  I've only tried those 3 flavors, but I love them.  I don't care for crystal light, but I like SF ocean spray and SF welches drink mixes.  The OS peach cranberry mixed with vanilla protien powder and soy milk is wonderful.  I also put it in plain Greek yogurt, which is great.

I just ordered a dual ice cream freezer to try many of these recipes, you can't find a better protein recipe site than eggface's!  http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2008/08/protein-ice-cream.html

I have been looking for an ice cream maker.  Seems like the season is over as far as stores are concerned.  I did find one by cuisanart but was hoping to find one that made less that 2 quarts.  Can you make a small amount successfully in a larger machine?  Thanks for the info I will check it out.

Linda - my suggestion is NOT cheap but I use the heck out of mine - and can make as little as ONE CUP of liquid into ice cream
I have a kitchen aid mixer and their ice cream maker attachment

I have made plain mil**** cream - add a slug  of whatever sf syup tastes good
I have made it with lattes, chocolate protien shake, vanilla plus fruit

basic recipe is 2 cups of milk plus 1/2 cup sugar sooooooo we do 1 cup milk to 1/4 cup splenda OR 1 cup milk to 1/8 cup splenda plus glug of sf van syrup

you store the bowl in the freezer - deep freeze works best and add whatever sounds good to you - mix for 15-20 mins and stir in your add ins - my current fav is vanilla mixed with sliced strawberrys, bannans and pecans - can you say yummm

we spent $65-70 on my attachemnt however I would easlyly say I have used it 20 times in a month - I don't like to cook in the heat and the kids don't like to eat in teh heat but who can turn down soft serve ice cream???

I found a small Cuisanart Ice Cream maker on Amazon [was looking for a book that I could not find on Paperbackswap.com]

I don't have a kitchen aid mixer so I thought this might just do the trick.  DD is addicted to ice cream but wants to lose some before the wedding next spring so I'm thinking I can make WW / WLS friendly protein rich "ice cream" for both of us!

Have you ever used Silk or any of the soy milks in your ice cream?

I have a blood clot and can not have soy so I've not used Silk.  I have a nephew who is deathly allergic to milk.  He uses silk exclusively.  I have cooked for him and eaten it as well.  I liked it but that was before the coumadin.  I now use fat free, lactose free milk.
