Home is where the army allows me to live with my husband

Daniel,
I just had my surgery June 4. I was cleared for whatever I wanted to eat yesterday and my first meal was a porkchop. I ate about 1/4 of it. Boy was it good! I live in Groves too! Looking forward to having you on the loser's bench with us! We need to have a Golden Triangle support group. Liz, can you help us out with that?? BTW, i lost 23 pounds the first month for a total of 40 pounds pre/post op!

Julie!!!!
Im so glad to see you here. And check you out on the loss.. great job!!!! There used to be a support group that met in Bmt at the mall. Let me check into that and see if its still around. I think support groups are EXTREMELY important and i really feel you cant do this journey without help from folks who have been there and are going thru the same things you are :)
Ok i will get back to yall

When I was born, I cried and the world rejoiced. Now i wanna live my life so that when I die, the world cries and I rejoice
CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!
You are 2 years older than my oldest son who has been overweight his entire life also. I hope some day he decides he wants to have WLS and if he does, then I will find a way to get it for him. He has been watching me very closely and hasn't said much. I think the sleeve would be the best option for him also so I will be following your progress with great interest! My son is 6' 1" and not quite as heavy as you - probably close to 400 pounds - not sure since our scales won't go that high. He just moved back in with me a few months ago and is going back to school in the Fall.
Good luck!
Sarah
