Mad Dash To Clean

I'd give anything for my Mom to walk through my front door just one more time and I wouldn't care HOW DIRTY my house was !  She was my best friend.


Brandi, I know your Mom will be proud of your house and it will be perfect in her eyes even if you are still seeing imperfections.  We are our own worst critics!

Aww! I know.. but it's pretty bad.. I think I have the world's largest smar****er bottle collection...

and under the sectional are still pine needles from the Christmas tree. yes. you read that right. lol

they're spending the night just outside of Texarkana.. so basically I've just got tonight to finish up... I'll be working straight up until they get here.. lol


The great thing about tile floor.. is it cleans up to perfection unlike carpet...
The bad thing about tile floor.. is cleaning it to perfection isn't so easy...


But I really am grateful that they are coming down... especially considering hubby couldn't get surgery day off of work..

Currently I'm last minute cleaning for the 4th of July...sheesh.
Wish I had new carpet...ours is as old as the house almost(came with it) and it's doesn't shampoo clean anymore.  If I did have new carpet however, I'd freak if stuff got spilled so maybe it's better this way.  Besides, everyone should be outside at the pool all day.
Mostly it's putting up and putting away and stuffing outta sight!  LOL!
My desk area is the worst because it's the most used area.  It'd be no prob if it was a room with a door...close it and be done.  But, it's a alcove area next to the door to the backyard SOOOOOO, guess I'm organizing sort of!

Need some cleaning fairies over here too!!!

Ugh, my house always looks like a dumpster.  And my car...I call it the rolling dumpster.  Ok well maybe they aren't as bad as real dumpsters but it feels that way sometimes.

I'm trying to force myself to go do a little mopping and laundry but I don't wanna!  Oh well, I'll get it done eventually.

One thing I'm learning is that I let my dogs rule my house... and it has to stop... the house is new.. and they're trashing it... so theres a chance I'm going to be uber irresponsible today.. and drop two little shih tzus off at the ASPCA.. and make a donation..

I just can't do it anymore... I'm having huge guilt over it... too... but the amount/level of cleaning I'm having to do is just not good..
