Don't know the first thing about them and I want to get one for my MIL.  She needs one that will run itself as she is technologically impared.  Which one is the VERY easiest?  Do you need a subscription to them or anything?

Dear Hubby bought me the Tom Tom. I LOVE IT.. You do not need a subscription for it. It is very user friendly. I was able to work it without reading anything... But, I almost did send it back because it would not show me where the walmarts were at. I would never need one unless I knew where all the Walmarts were across the US...I was not using the hyphen in the word. Wal-mart.....
That is what we are getting my MIL for Mothers Day..

Smile, it increases your face value.

Going shopping at Wal-Mart for one for MIL now.  She still has trouble with her VCR, but she got WAY lost in FW recently(she's lived here FOREVER) so I think it'd help.
I just hope she'd use the damn thing.  We gave her a radar detector for xmas and she still hasn't plugged it in.  She got a big fat ticket when she didn't have one!

I'm worried about what I'm going to be like as I age.  I'm only 42 and I can'****ch a DVD unless one of my kids is home.

Funny, I was just looking online for one for my dd for graduation tomorrow.  I have OnStar.  She drives all over the metroplex......she drove to Allen to take her foster dog for a meet and greet and then went back to pick it up!  The kid has more heart than money but I want to make sure she doesn't get lost doing it..........

Let me know what you end up getting, although I plan on going to BBuy.

I love Nigel, theTom Tom!  VERY user friendly. Mine is a middle of the road model 960. I have the most used routes in my favorites so it's a matter of pushing one button! You guys could probably to that much programming for her if she won't/can't.

I don't leave the house without mine, I have such a bad sense of direction I can get lost in a box!

I've had a Garmin and my dad has one too and LOVE IT!  No subscription needed.  It's easy to use too.

Nancy the Navigator is my Garmin- I have the Nuvi 100 or 200-can't remember.  Inexpensive, easy to operate and fits in my purse.  Hopefully it will get me to Loralea's tomorrow!!
