At this time Dr Barker is NOT taking Medicare of Medicaid. I was soooo hopeful when I browsed his website and saw them listed on his page. But when I called I was told he didn't take them and they wanted $50.00 up front for the initial consultation.  I was so hurt by that that I lashed out at Dr Barker via private message on his facebook page via private message and asked him why doctors are so biased against Medicare and Medicaid patients. He never answered me.

There are alot In Houston Texas that takes Medicaid and soem in San antonio

i got approved with Medicaid with Southwest Bariatrics only complint is its 5 hours from me

Yes I ahve also been approved with Southwest Bariatrics, I have seen Dr. Faulkenburry, I also have MEDICAID, not Medicare

I was heart broken today when I got so hopeful I called Southwest Bariatrics, Austin and they told me yes they accept Medicaid but then today called me after I faxed in the paperwork and stated you have to live in the Austin, Round Rock area.  However since you live in Fort Worth and you are on Medicaid we can't help you.
