Hey Denise!
You family break sounds really good. A colleague of mine has family in Cleveland so when she arrives to work later on, I will ask her what she can recommend to you and post it to you on here!

Good luck in the meantime!

Topic: After loosing 70 pounds, I think I deserve a holiday!
Last month I reached my weight loss target of 70 pounds and I am completely over the moon. After a very scary visit to the doctors surgery, I was convinced it was about time I did something. I decided to see what I could do without surgery and after A LOT of hard work, I finally reached my goal and I'm so pleased.

As a reward, I've decided not to buy lots of expensive clothes, but I have decided to book myself a nice relaxing holiday to get a sunshine fix away from this horrible approaching winter!
I can't decide between Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands or Mallorca?
I need to book somewhere thats going to be guaranteed good weather otherwise I'll feel like I've wasted my time!
Anyone have any ideas? Which shall I go for?

Wishing you all good luck with your diets and keep up the hard work. It is definitely worth it :)

We are planning a family trip to this area June of next year.  Now by family trip I mean there will be six families.  Hubby has a HUGE family.  lol lol  I know for sure we want to do the Cabbage Patch Hospital, pottery place, blown glass place, German town and possible some white water rafting.  Can ya'll give some other suggestions.  We like hiking although not the horribly long ones.  lol lol  We will have several small children with us.  Also love to do caves/caverns if there might be any in the area.  Also we are looking for lodging.  Would love a place with 6 bedrooms but would not like to pay $5000 for a week.  lol lol  We have found a couple of place we are interested in checking in to but thought I would come here and see if anyone had any suggestions they might like to through out.  Thanks in advance for any suggestions you might have.

Topic: Plane seatbelt extenders
Hello, everyone!  I'm just starting out here and thought this would be a good place to ask a question I'm nervous about.

I have a business trip coming up that requires me to fly on a plane (something I haven't done since I was a teenager).  I am worried I will need a seatbelt extender!  If I will, I am thinking of buying on in advance.

At any rate, I am 5'7", 325, pants size 26.  Can anyone "weigh in" (ha) as to whether you needed one and what your weight or size was at time of travel?

It's a domestic flight with AirTran (seat width 17", which is two inches narrower than my standard office chair).

Thank you so much for your time!

Continental and US Air fly Charlotte to Cleveland non-stop.  The price is about $250 plus baggage fees.  The flights take about 1 and a half hours in the air (you have to get to the airport an hour and a half before the flight). I used travelocity to search this (they allow you to search by flights without layovers).

I've never had that problem. You might want to have a note from the surgeon jsut saying you have a band not only for the airport but also on your person in case a medical emergency happened. karen

Consult your surgeon! My doctor told me if I ever did extensive travel it would be best to have my band be empty in case anything happened. Another idea, and this may sound weird but, growing up I had an aunt who worked for the American Embassy in Mexico. The American Embassy can be a good resource. They can help with translation, suggest an MD/hospital and other things. Have that number with you. Karen

I would think it would dependend on if you are on pain killers or not? Be sure to bring a small pillow to put on your stomach for the seat belt. Good luck ladies! Karen
