MONEY HELP!!!!!

DOES ANYONE KNOW ANY GRANT OR ANYWHERE I CAN GO IN NC TO GET HELP TO PAY FOR THIS SURGERY. I AM UNEMPLOYED, FORCED TO LIVE WITH FAMILY SO I AM TOTALLY BROKE. I REALLY NEED THIS SURGERY BECAUSE I BELIEVE THIS IS MY LAST CHANCE. I HAVE NO INSURANCE AND NO CHANCE FOR A LOAN. I AM TRYING TO GO THROUGH VOCATIONAL REHAB BUT IT COULD TAKE 12-18 MONTHS BEFORE I GET THE SURGERY AND THE ONLY DOCTOR, SO THEY SAY, IS OVER 3 HOURS A WAY. I am going through VR as well. It should not take that long and you can tell them that. At first I was told the same thing...but try to remember they work for you!! Once I realized that and told them their time frame was unacceptable they worked faster. Email me I can help you im sure. There are several doctors that take VR...You can go to insurers for NC and look up the people that have gone through VR I am going to Dr grant in Durham but there are more...email me I can help you get through [email protected]

Jessica, my wife is a personnel analyst with Voc Rehab in Raleigh. I asked her if there was anyone she knew that could help but she didn't know anyone. All she could say was that VR would be the way to go and to stick to your guns. I get the feeling that there are quite a few folks in a similar situation and for you to get a pass to the front of the line would be unusual. Hang tough and start getting ready now.

I'm not on this board often but I just read your response. My DIL and I are going to Huahine in 3 weeks, I'm very excited! I really love FP. I've heard the Cook Islands are great too. Maybe I'll try that next time. I'd love to do the Princess cruise that visits all the main Tahitian islands and Rarotonga just to see what each island is like. Thanks for your opinions!
