I would suggest you go over to the Lap Band forum and talk to some of the folks there and get their advice. I'm a Boyce patient too, but I had the DS. Best decision of my life :) Oh, and your stomach/intestines aren't vital if they're just made smaller. Thank goodness I can still eat a plate of food, lol.

I buy my protein shakes from Vitlady.com. I drink Champion Pure Whey, and they have 42 grams of protein per 8 ozs. They're the best tasting shakes that I've found out there too. :) Good luck with your surgery!
Topic: RE: Will Dr. Houston consider light weights for the DS?
No, you didn't miss it, it isn't there but he does the DS. That list is very subjective and dependent on the people who own the site and recommend the surgeon's.
Dr. Boyce does them but is not on the list. Dr. Alfons Pomp/NYC use to be on the list til some decided he shouldn't be but he does the DS (did my husband's).
So while the list is a great resource, it isn't infallible.
