I noticed how old this post is but was wondering , do you know the bcbs of Tennessee requirements for a revision from band to sleeve ? And if your still working for a bariatric surgeon in tn
I also have this uhc tenncare
I have completed a 6 mth physician supervised diet
Psych eval, nutritional eval and 2 Dr visit notes from each year for the past 5 years
Also a letter from my pcp requesting weight loss surgery for me. My bmi is 37 and I have 3 comorbidities so I should get approved for the sleeve. At least that's what I'm hoping for!
Dr Hugh Houston Centennial in Nashville. started out at about 70bmi now I am 24bmi. From 533lbs. to 204 lbs. He is the best. I am 5 years out. I had The Duodenal Switch surgery. It has been very easy for me. Just a couple of setbacks with malnutrition. Got past them with no problem. Take your vitamins and you will do fine. Good Luck.
How did you get your insurance to cover your surgery? I also have that insurance. What are their requirements? Tia
I have a quick question. I have UHC community plan aka tenncare. What are their requirements for surgery?
I would call Scales Nutrition and Wellness and ask for Mary Ann Green. She has been my therapist for almost 3 years. We have worked on so much of the emotional stuff. She's been amazing.
I am getting a self-pay sleeve from outside of the Nashville area in December. I am looking for a therapist that can help with emotional eating issues. Any recommendations? I may need one that can help with marriage ir family issues if they arise. Thanks
