Topic: RE: Post-Op Eating
I haven't found any specific cookbooks, but there are some (Centennial gave some away as door prizes at their Holiday Reunion). What I do is look for naturally lowfat recipes, then tweak them to make them fit into my diet. I use the My Nutrition Data website. It has a great tool for analyzing recipes and producing a nutrition label like you would find in a grocery store.
I am in stage III of the diet right now. Some foods I have found that I really like are:
1. Vegan Boca Burgers (130 cal, 30g of Protein, its important to look at the label - the Garden burgers are just junk - empty calories)
2. Cottage Cheese
3. Greek non fat yogurt
4. Citrus grilled Chicken Breast (If eating out, get the Grilled Chicken platter from the kids menu at Chili's and squeeze some lemon and lime on it)
5. Herb roasted Turkey Breast (You can blend with the yogurt or light mayonnaise to add moisture, I also came up with a gravy recipe that had only 23 cal per 4 tbsp serving)
I went to the Titans v. Bucs game and had a turkey burger patty, it was alright, but I like the Boca burgers better. I also hate most seafood, so I have Omega III enriched eggs either scrambled or boiled to provide the fatty acids.
Hope this helps.

I have heard good things about Dr. Wegner. I had surgery by Dr. Weaver. I haven't had any problems. Both are very good, it's their office that could use some help ;o)
- About the insurance - you can try submitting it to them to see if they will pay. Each insurance company is different. They might reimburse you for it.
Good Luck!

I hope to have surgery by him soon. I am jumping through the insurance hoops right now. I have one more weigh in Dec 19th. Ive got to see the psychiatrist on the 14th and then the nutrition classes. Does anyone know if insurance helps with the $350 for those classes? I am a nurse and have fellow nurses and respiratory therapists tell me how great Wegner is, they told me that he is making Dr. Weaver step up her game. I am so excited and ready to get this thing done. I have a lapband that has recently started leaking so I have no restriction!!
Topic: RE: COOKEVILLE TN
Hi, Cherrie!
This is Autumn! I haven't been on here in quite a while. It takes so long to load this site on my computer. You OK?? I am moving back to Cookeville on Dec 10 and maybe I will finally get to to meet you!! What size are you now? I am asking because I have lots of clothes I can't wear anymore - lots of stuff about 2X. Some of it I really loved and it's really nice! It is at Mema's in her garage! I have know idea what size you are now though! You can have whatever you want if you want any of it. We could go over there together one day and go through it! Hope you are doing well! I am finally a normal weight again and am so happy about that! Never thought I would see the day again!
