Topic: OT - MUST SEE Pigeon Forge/Seiverville
Hello, I am a member on the forumn from Ontario Canada and I am going for a trip to TN in February.
We are staying a couple of days in Pigeon Forge area and then one day in Nashville.
Because we are not able to stay a long time what are some of the 'Musts' we should do in the area.
I have searched on line, and found many of the obvious things, but thought who better to ask then the locals!
We are country people and like animals, antiques and that sort of thing.
As well I am a new runner and am looking for a good sporting goods store in the area (with good prices too!)
Any suggestions would be appreciated, Thank you.

I have cigna as well and I don't think i will qualify for it to be covered. how much does it generally cost? and do they finance within themselves? What if my credit isn't good?
Topic: RE: Does any hospital near Nashville do financing?
Have you checked with Centennial? There is a financing program you may qualify for there. I had y Surgery by Dr. Houston and couldn't reccomend him or Centennial more. The entire program is wonderful, and many of the people there are going through the same process we are. What impressed me most id everyones desire to pay their success forward.
Give them a look.

Topic: Does any hospital near Nashville do financing?
I am looking to get either the Lapband or Verticle Sleeve in, or around Nashville as soon as possible. I don't have insurance and my credit's not good enough to get a loan. I can pay upwards of $5000-6000 cash as a downpayment if I could find someone willing to finance the surgery.
I've been heavily considering Mexico, specifically Dr. Ortiz at ObesityControlCenter (very highly rated), but, I'm concerned with this route for a few reasons. I wouldn't have free support group access, nor would I have access to Fills at a decent price. I know Dr. Houston will take me for fills, but since I wouldn't be his patient.. the charge is downright insane (650 the first fill, 400 after that).
I'm stuck between a rock and a hardplace with this decision. But coming up with $12K-15K just isn't an option.

Topic: Seven years behind me
It has been a very long time since I was here psoting. I had my surgery in Dec. of 2004 and it was done at Vanderbilt by Dr.Willie Melving. Ups and downs as been few for me as far as the WLS but other health problems has been a lot of hurdles for me.
I decided it is time to take charge of me again and try to make changes. I have put on about 15 extra pounds that I DO NOT want . I was smoker for years and I do mean years and the first of Sept.2011, I quit. I had tried before but never made it a week. Now it has been four months and the extra pounds ! I need help and support to get me back on track.
I am facing surgery for another problem and I don't want to go under and not be back were I should be. I don't get to excerise right now due to the problem so that makes it a little harder for me.
I would love to help any of you that is heading to surgery or just on your journey to a new you, a new life and one that is forever. I also hope that I can find the support from some of you that can help me get back to my weight and to have a way to excerise with out much hard moving which means also I can not walk right now. BLAH.
So happy to be here and hope this isn't to long.

Topic: TennCare AmeriGroup experience?
I'm looking into getting WLS through AmeriGroup. Anyone have any experience with them? Are they quick to deny? Also, any idea of what surgeons in the Clarksville/Nashville area take AmeriGroup specifically? I know a lot will take TennCare but it's hard to find doctors that take AmeriGroup.
I'm hoping my PCP will give me a referral. He shot me down pretty quick last time I talked to him about WLS. He's against WLS, in general, but i'm hoping I can talk him into it. I'd hate to have to go doctor-shopping. Is it possible for a psychiatrist or neurologist to give you a referral? >.> :D (I see the neurologist for migraines and sleep problems, but not apnea.)

Topic: LGBT forum invitation
Hello,
I just wanted to let people know there is a forum for the community and anyone who is friendly and want to stop by. I was very active 3 years ago and would like to see it become active again. It is listed under "weight loss related"
I am not attempting to offend anyone. I understand that some might not agree with me posting. I am doing it to help LGBT people. Everyone has the right to not agree. I respect that.
Thank You !
Sean
If you have trouble finding it just PM me
