Topic: RE: Dr. Westmoreland in Shelbyville???
Have you considered going to Mexico? You can get your WHOLE surgery for just a bit more than the 1/2 you are prepared to pay for surgery in TN,and you wouldn't have to finance anything.
I was born and raised in Shelbyville and unless things have changed a lot I wouldn't use anybody there for WLS. I do know they have a new hospital, but old habits die hard for me,yannow?

Hello, I was not a self pay patient so not for sure how that works but I did use him as my doctor. He is a wonderful doctor who truly cares about his patients and the work he does. I had a great experience with the process and am happy I used him. I did have the surgery at Middle Tennessee Medical Center which is in Murfreesboro but I do know that it is cheaper to have it done in at the Shelbyville hospital. Good luck with your process!

Hello,
I am from Florida, but I was given info on Dr. Westmoreland, who does the VSG for $12,000. I got this information through beliteweight.com. since I am a self pay and can put down 50% of the cost the contact lady Debbie or Debrah emailed me info for medloan financing and told me to speak directly with a guy named sergio for help.
My question is has anyone here used him? How was your experience? Has anyone else here used med loan financing?
I just want to hear from other people before I start the process and have to fly all the way to TN from FL.
Thanks for any help!!!
Tiffany

Hi,
Pigeon Forge and the area is not as crowded in February as most of the year but there are still things to see and do, especially the Smokies. There is a beautiful drive from Gatlinburg to Cherokee NC but it's closed if there is too much snow. If you go to the web site www.hometownsevier.com and click on entertainment you can see the activities that are going on at that time. The hotels are at their lowest prices of the year so you should be able to get a good deal.
I hope this will help a little and you have a wonderful time while here.

Did you come across the Museum of Appalachia in Clinton, TN? Pigeon Forge is way too commercial for my taste, yet I've always wanted to go to the museum. Of course, Feb is a great time for exploring without scads of people. Some things will be closed, but you should find lots of other things. Have fun!

Sorry to high jack this post.
I am replying in hopes that you would help me out. I posted on the TN board but it doesn't look that active, So I have copied it below.
I would really appreciate any help you can give me.
PS. great to see there is a support group in your area.
Hello, I am a member on the forumn from Ontario Canada and I am going for a trip to TN in February.
We are staying a couple of days in Pigeon Forge area and then one day in Nashville.
Because we are not able to stay a long time what are some of the 'Musts' we should do in the area.
I have searched on line, and found many of the obvious things, but thought who better to ask then the locals!
We are country people and like animals, antiques and that sort of thing.
As well I am a new runner and am looking for a good sporting goods store in the area (with good prices too!)
Any suggestions would be appreciated, Thank you.
