I got a call this afternoon that my mom was taken to the hospital Monday evening. She had 10% kidney function when they checked her in the ER. She also has a massive UTI.

She is almost 80 years old and has been a brittle diabetic for years.

I'm trying to decide now whether I need to head up to Iowa this weekend or risk waiting until next weekend to see her for what may be the last time. Gotta call my sisters and nieces to see how many can make the road trip with me and when we want to head out.

Please remember my little momma in your prayers.

NYEBC - we have a hermitage group that meets the 3rd Thursday of the month - it's a great group with a good mix of people.   There is also a new group that is the 2nd Thursday of the month in Hermitage for DS/VSG folks.  I just posted the details on that one - if you are interested in the hermitage group let me know and I can send you the info for that one too.

Charlee is switched - she is in recovery now and should be on her way to a room soon.   I will post any updates when I recieve them.   I will be visiting her either tomorrow evening or Thursday at lunch time.
