Topic: Ameri Choice and plastic surgery
Hi I was wondering if Ameri Choice will pay for plastic surgery.  I had DS surgery a year ago. Down 141 pounds not done losing yet but am looking in to plastic surgery options. What will they pay for and what does it take to get approved. Plus what surgeons takes Ameri choice for the surgery? Thank You in advance.

Marie, Dr. Livengood leads our groups on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Monday of each month. The 3rd Monday night is a formal presentation - for April the topic was, "Will I ever eat normal again (after WLS)?", the topic for May centers around body image. The 4th Monday of each month is Back on Track. The event schedule for TN lists all of our groups as does our website www.cmcwls.com.

You know...  (just me thinking aloud, hope that's ok)....  often times as a new post-op I thought that I would never have to worry about food again!  Hallelujah!  I was not hungry, my stomach was VERY tiny, I actually was repulsed by food for a long time after surgery.  Was I ever naive!

I have come to realize as a "veteran" that this is not the case.  Those old demons do return one year, two years, three years, almost four years...  at some point, those temptations will rear their ugly head.  I realize that I will have a battle probably for the rest of my life.  Why?  I am addict.  A food addict.

Anyway...  I want to say that it's great our bariatric programs recognize that we get derailed on our journeys, and try to help us get back on track....

I now return you to your normally scheduled broadcast.

I have Aetna.

Once I finished the requirements and the paperwork was submitted, I got an answer in about 1 week.

I also have HCA ins. I'm just starting the 3mo. diet.  I understand that it just takes a couple of weeks once you've submitted all the requirements.
Where do you work for HCA ?

If you have Aetna through HCA, Open Access Select, how long did you have to wait to hear an answer from the insurance company?

Topic: RE: Protein powder... 60g at once to much?
Aha!  I think (strong emphasis on that word...) that we might have a few ideas....

Almond Breeze unsweetened milk has just 45 calories per CUP!  You could try to measure out one cup of Almond Breeze and use a few tblsp at a time... you can have coffee all day long!!!

If it doesn't provide enough "flavor"...  I'd resort to the good old sugar free syrups...  if its caramel you really like, get some sugar free starbucks caramel in the bottle for just about $6.99 a bottle.....

If its creamer you want...  then creamer we shall try to get an alternative for!!!  lol
