Topic: Can't Stop the Weight Loss
Had bypass 9 months ago today.  I have lost 140 pounds.  I can't stop the weight loss.  I am down to 160 pounds.  I look like skin and bones.

Talked to the dietician and she tells me to drink protein shakes.  Sure, I can suffer some down, but I want to maintain a weight without the need for supplemental shakes.  I feel like I eat all the time, I just can't eat very much at each setting.

Anyone else have similiar issues?

Topic: Join us to walk a 5K

A friend of mine from work is putting together a group to walk the Hendersonville Classic on Memorial Day.

If you would like to join us, we meet for group training on Saturdays and she has a calendar of the training schedule for the rest of the days. You walk at your own pace, she just sets the distance for training purposes.

We will meet this Saturday at 9am at Moss Wright Park near the bathrooms. If you are interested, let me know and I will PM you with my phone number so we can make sure we hook up Saturday.

After the 5K, we will begin training immediately for the Women's Half Marathon in Nashville on September 25.

We are going to look for other 5Ks in the area between May and September.

Susan...  I'm not THAT wonderful...  there is a little bit of selfishness in me!  I didn't tell anyone UNTIL I had been over there first!!!  I would have been quite upset if I told everyone, then finally made it over, and it was all gone!!!  LOL

I went at lunch today. Got a box each of lemon and chocolate Creamy Bites, a case of Mocha Pro Joe and a single of the Vanillaccino.

He hadn't put the Pro Joe out yet and even had to call to get a price. LOL The singles are going to be $2.79 each and the case is $32.50.

I told him you had put the word out about the items being available now and he said, "Yea, Melinda is wonderful." I told him we already knew that!!

Thanks Mel!

Topic: RE: Psych Evaluation
It was about 4 yrs ago, but let me see if I can remember...  I had to take an IQ test (though those were seen as prejudice and are no longer being done) as made mandatory by BCBS.  I also had to take the MMPI which is the Minnesota Multi Phasic Personality Disorder test...  it consist of about 400 questions (I think 440 to be exact?).  Then, the psychologist met with me and asked me about myself...  we talked for awhile, then he asked why I wanted the surgery, did I understand what the surgery was all about?  And, did I realize what would be expected of me after surgery, how it would alter my lifestyle.  That's all I can remember...  and he also scored the tests and passed me.

Yes, it is possible to fail the psychological test.
