We'll miss you tonight Dawn. And Shelia, we would love to see you back in the group! hint, hint

edited to add: I promise to only take the 5 - 10 minutes Heather asked for. Then she's got some good stuff for us.

Topic: RE: Dr Boyce
I had Dr. Boyce perform my WLS on 9/2/08 and wouldn't let anyone but him cut me I wish he could be my dr for everything -- he has an incredible bedside manner and is well-respected in the medical community. Pre-op he just wanted me to focus on the behaviors such as no-drinking with meals and getting used to reduce portions but no major weight loss required. He has a full service staff that is dedicated to your needs - one is a nutritionist, an exercise physiologist, and a therapist to deal with the mental stuff.

I never took any pain meds after the surgery but nausea about killed me (i don't do well with anesthesia)..stayed in teh hospital from Tuesday thru Friday and was back at work the next week.

Nine months later, he took my gallbladder out and 14 months out, he did a hernia repair.

I highly recommend you call them at 694-9676 and attend their seminar and set up an initial consult! You will not be disappointed! Feel free to PM me!!

Be happy.

Baptist's Gastric Bypass Support Group is tomorrow night.  It always throws me off when it is the first of the month and with it being the day after a holiday I don't want people to forget.

Sadly I will not be able to attend which really bums me out since Susan will be telling the story about her journey.

You all don't have to much fun without me.

I was at Hendersonville Big Lots yesterday.  They do have Crystal Light in plastic bottles.  There are 6 bottles and the cost is $3.  I think they had 2 flavors.

The best advice that I can offer is to contact TennCare and find out of they do cover this, or contact the administrator with your employer.

In general pratice, most insurances will NOT cover this, unless it is medically needed (i.e. pannus below pubic area, or skin issue with rashes or irritation).

I hope that this helps.

Michael.
