Dr. Williams is super he did my surgery on April 29th and his staff are just as caring as he is.I feel like I could call him anytime and he would talk to me or find out what was going on.You picked a really good DR.

Topic: RE: Dr. Houston
I was a virgin DS so I really can't speak for the revision surgery or the insurance but I can tell you that Dr. Houston is great.   With that being said - if you want a true DS - you will not get one with him as a revision (from RNY).   What he does is keeps your pouch intact and then gives you the DS intestines.   There are very few doctors in the US that do a complete RNY to DS revision and some of the ones that do them are shying away from them and doing what Dr. Houston does.  Dr. Houston told me he thought it was overkill to take the pouch down and create a sleeve so that is why he does not do that.  The staff at CMC is great and they will be able to walk you through all the insurance hoops.   Hope I helped a little bit.

I have seen several people posting about Dr. Boyce and asking how he is, but I have seen very few asking about Dr. Williams. I chose Dr. Williams and would like to hear from people who have used him in the past. My surgery date isn't until July 14th.

Can anyone that has had experience with Dr. Houston with regards to revision from RNY to DS give me their experience with their insurance, the doctor and the surgery itself?  Were there any complications, etc...

Topic: Looking for someone who works for Asurion

There was at one time someone who worked for Asurion who was here and I hate that I can't remember her name. I finally after all this time did get hired on there and wanted to thank her for putting them on my radar. My son interviews today at there warehouse as well.

I now will have insurance again and it is Excellus BC/BS and I was curious to ask her how her process went. I am not sure if I want to have Gastric or DS. COuld possibly decide on VSG. Still investigating. I may look somewhere other then Baptist cause I callled and I got Dawn and she has never been really helpful or personable to me. SOme *****member what I went through when at Verizon know she was kinda rude and asked why do we all cry when we get turned down. Not sure I want to deal with her and she didn't seem to want to offer me much info when I called.

I see they now do the surgery in Murfreesboro but has anyone had it there? I emailed them last week and have not heard a word. I am thinking of calling Centennial. I know it was kinda confusing finding my way around there but it is beautiful and they ladies were soooooo nice at seminar.
I sure hope that someone has the same insurance and can give me advice or that my friend from before is still here and will read this because I am so grateful that two years ago she started telling me about Asurion. Thank you! Thoughts on other Drs and hospitals?

Truly Trina - when I have consumed it in the past and drank several glasses in one day I had major lower GI issues like cramping, etc. So, I stopped drinking it.

I was in Brentwood the other day and picked some up. I will have to go to Big Lots and check them out.

That stuff is EXPENSIVE!!! Whew!!
