I hope everyone is doing well.
Just a reminder that there is a support group today Wednesday at 1:30 P.M. at the Vanderbilt Weight Loss Surgery Clinic located at 100 Oaks.
If you are in need of support no matter what phase of the Weight Loss Surgery Journey you are in we would love for you to attend.
The group meets at the Vanderbilt Surgical Center for Weight Loss at One Hundred Oaks. Enter in the entrance located next to TJ Maxx. Once inside ride up the escalator and then hang a left. Walk a bit a you will see the Surgical Center on the left. Check in at the reception area and let them know that you are there to attend the WLS support Group that meets in the Education Room. At that point they will assist you from there.

Hi everyone,
It's been a long time since I've posted. I've fallen off the Lap-Band Wagon and am just disgusted with myself.
I have no restriction due to a stressful move I had about 18 months ago. I was developing an ulcer and Dr. Morton removed all fill.
I'm diabetic and have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Due to the pain, it makes it difficult to exercise. I've also got panni issues that add somewhat to the difficulty. I'm rarely leave my home because of the access issues - it's hard to go places when you can't walk through Wal-Mart.
As if this wasn't enough, my mother passed away in 2008. My dad passed in 2009. We took my dad's ashes to Arlington in October and just took my mom's ashes to Iowa for burial.
So - I'm angry with myself, I'm depressed, I'm angry that I'm depressed and I'm depressed that I'm angry. But most of all, I'm ready to start again.

Thanks! I got up early hoping to see some info today before work. I may call her in a bit. I also found out that a friend of mine is starting at my work next week and he also wants the surgery so I am going to help him with his process which will allow us to support eachother and also since I am a lil ahead in the process will be good for him because I will have the info he will need already and he can get started while he waits for benes to kick in August 1st. I am pretty happy to have the company going on the journey with me. I think he wants RNY though. We were both considering Sleeve but it is not covered yet in our insurance as stand alone. Hoping I can find someone who has some pants they want to sell because I need some but don't want to go buy them knowing I could be so close! I mean end of August maybe? My mom seems to feel alot better about me doing this now. I am glad she understands it better.

Just a quick hi -- hard to believe it's been 3 years for me now and I'm stuggling with that 2-3 year "twenty" myself. I'm thinking it's time for a summer challenge for the "old folks".
Congrats on the 2nd new baby! :D
