Topic: RE: Dr. Boyce's program fee question
I'm a Boyce patient, and my insurance paid half of my program fee. The other half was due all at once upfront before anything was scheduled. I also have a friend who is his patient, who was a self pay, and her entire fee was due up front as well.
Topic: RE: Dr. Boyce's program fee question
When I used Dr Boyce in 2005, the fee was due upfront before my surgery date was set. That has been 5yrs ago.Maybe someone that recentlly used him will chime in. Also, I had to pay all at once but I was a self pay patient.Best of luck! Hang in there.

Topic: Dr. Boyce's program fee question
I just read that they want this fee all at once up front. Is that true or are they willing to accept payments? I understand that my surgery probably won't be until after the full amount is paid, but I was hoping to at least be able to pick a surgery date and make $1,000 payments in Oct, Nov, and Dec with a late Dec surgery date. Thanks!

I am looking at Sept 18th for the 1st get together. I will have to find a restaurant now. I will let everyone know in the very near future.
Topic: RE: UHC - Denial -- Peer to Peer or Appeal????
Thank you for all the replies! I have decided to do the next three months. I will finish on November 1 -- I checked in with my work and they are not changing insurance companies so that is a big relief. I am thinking January would be a good time. Right after the holidays and my flex spending account will be full -- I can carry over the vacation time from this year that I have been holding onto. I really appreciate everyone's stories though b/c that helped me decide what to do and be ok with it. Thank you. kmb

I have UHC insurance......I live over by Knoxville. I also am an RN Case Manager for an insurance company. Do not do the peer to peer, statistically the numbers are stacked against you for getting another denial. Don't do it.
Definately do the additional 3 months. Its less of a headache.....and my hope is after that you will be approved. Good Luck......
I'm on track to get my surgery done sometime Nov/ Dec......I'll be curious as to your outcome with the insurance !

I would come... I think I just didn't really make it to lunch bunch cause alot of times it was by Rivergate when I would see the post. I do know I enjoyed the dinner get together the one time I went in Franklin but that was sooooo long ago. Sounds fun!

I know that some ins. plans definately do not allow any break for any reason so I say ask if you can just do the extra 3 months. I wish that is what had done years ago when I was denied for changing Drs. I would have had to just do 3 more months but I got upset and gave up... big regret. Ask what each process is and make sure you know how it has went for others who have done these processes. But if it was me, I would ask can I just do the 3 months instead?
