Congratulations!! Before you know it we will have to start calling you ShrinkingPapiMphs or LittlePapiMphs.

Excited and scared are absolutely normal emotions for this stage.

There is nothing unhealthy about fresh fruit. Fresh fruit contains essential vitamins, fiber and antioxidants that contribute to good health.

In addition, the body needs some fat for skin, hair and nail health. So, adding full fat cheese and/or peanut butter, in reasonable amounts, is also not unhealthy.

I went to Dr. Lois Wagstrom and am still very pleased with my results almost 3 years later. I had my plastics one week after my 2 year anniversary. I had a LBL (circumfrential abdominoplasty) with anchor cut, mons reduction, outer thigh lipo and hernia repair. I had a total of 10 lbs of skin removed and approx 2 cups of fat.

Several of my friends who have had WLS have also used Dr. Wagstrom and are equally pleased with their results and the care provided.

Yes, talk to them at Centennial.  My surgeon was Hugh Houston and I highly recommend him.  I had the DS and was a self pay.  Talk to him about your options.  Although my BMI was between 35-40,  I had not done well with the lap band (restrictive only) procedure.  We decided that I needed malabsorption, too.  Dr. Houston is the surgeon at Centennial who does the DS.

<<<The link is a little lengthy but worth the read.>>>

I am in the maintnance part of the pouch-- two years out.
I am able to eat a whole sandwich now without throwing up.
Not that I force myself to, but it just came to that point where I felt the fullness later in the meal.
I wanted to understand what I was doing to make this happen.

This website gives the understanding I needed for exactly what happens to the pouch and how to use it effectively.

I never knew that the pouch growing was part of the healing process.

This is definitly what I needed to understand to help me utilize my pouch at this time.
