After jumping through all the hoops, the surgery may mean even more to you because you have to do so many things to make it happen. For me, I appreciated it more and didn't want to screw anything up by not following the program, etc. after putting in so much effort.

I originally went with the LapBand but glad I changed my mind and went with RNY. It was a tough decision, but I needed built-in appetite control and a tool to keep me away from sweets and other bad foods. 155 lbs later, it was the right choice for me. Good luck with your journey. Much success!

Stick with the program and the weight will come off. It comes in spurts, so don't get frustrated if you don't lose it right from the beginning. Your body is in shock so it may be fighting giving up the weight. Eat right, drink water, and take your vitamins. I promise over the coming months you will see results... Good luck!

any dr olsen people out there? i had my surgery on 26july2010 and i've lost 2lbs. i'm trying not to get disgusted but i read all these other postings and you guys are really losing a lot of weight. everyone seems to be doing so well except me.

I went to the Sept. 21st seminar. I really like Dr. Wegner. I am looking forward to his approach to "non-narcotic" pain management. That really impressed me. He does sound like he knows his stuff. Can't wait for him to operate!!!!

That's great!! When did you go to the seminar? I was up there a few weeks back with my dad and cousin. Dr. Wegner sounded like he really knew his stuff.....
