Topic: RE: We have a Vanderbilt Valuable having surgery on Tuesday --------->
Well, yesterday was the big day. It was really rough yesterday afternoon. However, it got better throughout the night. I am at home now. I am still a little sore. I believe the medicine and walking with help. Looking forward to it tomorrow. When I was weighed yesterday prior to surgery I was 296.5 lbs. My highest weight was 325. My weight last recorded at the doctor's office was 301. Kiss those 300s good by. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers

I can not wait to see everyone. I talked to the ATL DS gals and it looks like they will be back up this year. Us DSer's are a little loud and wild... so everyone better be ready for us... LOL

Topic: RE: Dr. Boyce
Both had used the practice for their RNY as well (just wanted to put that out there). One lady had complications with her RNY as well and needed the revision not just for additional weight loss but to fix some internal stuff - she was 3 years out from RNY and is now happy happy happy. The other was 6 years out from RNY. I know that one of them is a stay at home mama and I'm not sure if the other works or not - I'm so sorry i can't give you more!
Be happy.

Thanks KittenLove! You did say that they were revised from RNY to DS right? Do you know if they had any complications and how long before they were able to go back to work? I got an email from one lady that said that she had some complications with her revision.

hi there .i just wanted to say good luck. i moved here from cal in 2009 and i had roux n y in california in 2006 i lost almost 275lbs but since then i put on some weight back , not happy about it but ,being bipolar and manic depression illness doesnt help either. but im still glad i had it. my surgeon before i moved here i had my 3 yr follow up and thats when i came clean with him that i am dealing with a massive case of bipolar illness and manic depression he goes if i knew you had this before the surgery you wouldve never had it, i go i know thats why i didnt say anything, i wanted this surgery and because i had to have a knee replacement or i would be in a wheel chair today. but i took my fear of gaining weight back after the surgery to a not good place .so now im trying to lose . but i wanted to say good luck and i hope one day i can meet in person some people who have had surgery or going to have surgery ,like support groups i dont see any here to much where i live. i found one thats in chattanooga tn, but im hoping to meet people and get some support. i need it badly .

Topic: HELLO TN
Hi Everyone ,
Well i just wanted to say hello . i was wondering if tn wls community has get togethers like coffee days or anything like that ,just curious, i know in california we did stuff and it was great to meet new people who are or have been through what we have been through and just get to know others. i have been here a year and a half and im just now finding a support group in my area . pretty sad but i at least found one. so i will start next month when they have it . im trying to stay on track or at least try to get back on track its so hard when one is dealing with manic depression and bipolar illness ,my surgeon said if he knew i was dealing with this illness he wouldve never done the surgery on me .but i heard before that was a issue so i got through the psych eval and stuff and had it do i regret not telling him ,no and i dont regret having it but i do regret gaining some weight back. and now its hard to lose ,i never ever had the dumping syndrome until this past few years things i eat come right back up , i cant even eat apples anymore or oranges. and sushi , steak, so im limited. but i would love to meet some new friends who are dealing with this as well and who has gone through the surgery . i have no friends here at all. it makes me want to go back to california but im giving it another year and see what happens. any one interested in meeting let me know.
