This month the Nashville Area DS support Group will meet on Thursday November 11th @ 6:30 PM @ Summit Medical Center in Classroom B.
The Cookeville Area DS support Group is scheduled for Saturday the 13th (but I have a group leader retreat that day) so it will be cancelled unless someone wants to run the meeting. If you are interested in running the meeting please send me a PM and we can work out the details.

Topic: RE: Centennial Annual Bariatric Holiday Reunion & Education Event
It is really a fun event. We invite not only our patients, but all of the staff from the surgeons offices, the operating room, holding room, recovery room, 3rd floor, so everyone has an opportunity to mix and mingle!

Topic: RE: Lunch get-together in Nashville cancelled...
Thanks for the effort Paula. With the cold weather hitting today and the holidays approaching, I guess it's a tough time to get people out of the house. There is a definite need among us folks in the weight loss community to support one another in our journeys - we will just all have to find a time to all get together.
Big hugs!

Topic: Dr. John Rosdeutscher (Plastic) Does anyone know him?
Hello all,
Loooooong time no type! I have been seeing a spine specialist now for about 6 months and today he finally referred me to a plastic surgeon for a breast reduction for my upper back pain. I looked at the Dr's website and he doesn't post any pictures of his work. So I was wondering if anyone here has used him or heard about him. He is in network for my insurance and I have a great chance of having it approved so I want to use someone in network. I am not looking for a referral to another Dr. I am sure there are great other ones out there, but this is who my spine specialist recommended so I was just curious about this one for now. I have my appt on Tuesday and I am hoping I can get this done before the end of the year since my deductible is already paid and they pay 100% (next year my insurance ded is higher and they only cover 90%). My insurance was pretty quick with the approval for my RNY so i hold hope this will be the same.
As for an update on my weight loss, I am now 17 months out of surgery, I have lost 76 lbs. I have battled some gain and loss, gain and loss, but I seem to be getting back on track this week. I am 14 lbs from my goal. It may be in my boobs! LOL jk Although I am sure some of it is there I have hardly lost anything in that region of my body.
Thanks for all the responses. I look forward to seeing some of you again this year at the Centennial Center for the Treatment of obesity Christmas Party.

Topic: Lunch get-together in Nashville cancelled...
'sorry, guys! Perhaps we can try again next year. I didn't get any firm "yes" RSVPs back. A couple of people said they would try to make it, but without a firm "yes" I'm afraid I will show up and be the only one there... so tomorrow's get-together is cancelled and we can try another time. Again, 'sorry folks!
