I have been OK'd by my insurance for the RNY. I received a call from the Baptist insurance lady this last Thursday. Since there has been a disbanding of the surgery teams within I will be using a Dr. Mcdowell (sp) for my procedure. I am awaiting for the Dr. to call to set up an appt. and schedule a date. I really did not expect the insurance to OK the procedure but it proves miracles do come. I work many hours a week and have not really gasp all the necessary information that I will need to get by. I am not going to have any household support after the surgery and must be prepared to handle all situations by myself. The nutritionist has given me samples of many protein powders and drinks. If there is anyone who would not mind coaching me a little bit a day about my preperation for my new life style I would greatly appreciate any and all advice. I am not much of a computer person and type very slowly so I would hope maybe someone would use the old fashion method of telephone. I am only looking for a couple a minutes at a time not hour long conversations. Also, if there are possibly more individuals near Pleasant View, TN for a support group it would be nice as travelling to Nashville is going to be a pain Post-op. Pleaase Email me at [email protected] if you feel you may be able to help with my situation.
