3 month weigh-in
Hi, I just thought I would fill you in on a few things. One I don't do protein shakes, they make me gag, or do I do protein powders. But according to my lab work, my protein is in normal range. Blood work is looking good. I am 61 lbs lighter. I though it was more, but Dr. Colquitt goes by what I was at my first appointment with him in Sept. He asked what I eat to keep my protein up because of being so sick from the potassium. Told him I substitute ground beef for ground chicken, eat a lot of cheese including cottage cheese. I can buy a bag of shrimp, take out about 3-4 boil them, and eat them. Very high in protein. I love certain types of fish, so I eat a lot of chicken, shrimp, and fish. I am craving a chili dog with a root beer down at this place that just opened at the end of my street. But I don't give in to it. It's not a head thing, it's just this weather makes me want one. But I will have to wait a while yet.
I'm going to take my measurements, as I forgot to have them done while I was there. I have 86 more lbs to reach my goal. Yepppppppppy. I haven't been keeping my journal up, nor have I been keeping a journal of what I eat and drink a day. It was more like a waste of time, since I couldn't keep things down. I still can't but it's not as bad now. Just something I have to endure because of the chemo. Oh well.
I'm off for a rest. Getting up early and having to go all the way to Maryville and back wears me out. Especially having to sit up when I want to rest. So when I go back in July for my 6 month, I will take my chair, then I can put the seat back to rest or nap on the way home.
Y'all be good and have a great day. Love Kathy
