everyone! I'm so glad it's finally Friday. This has been such a looonnnnggg week! Just wondering how everyone is doing these days. Any exciting plans for the weekend?? I'm not doing much of anything; perhaps some spring cleaning and a little shopping. My husband is going to Detroit for some training for 2 weeks! I'll be all by my lonesome I'll miss him, but this is going to be a good break for him from his job. He works 3rd shift and for the past 3 months he has been pulling 12 hour shifts every night including the weekends with the occassional night off. Plus, when he gets back, it'll be time for my big day. I almost can't believe it. There is so much to do before then. I'm starting to feel like an expecting mother, making sure I have everything I need, clean house, clean clothes, food for hubby, etc. lol I suppose in a sense this is true. A lot of people compare this surgery as a re-birth. My husband is taking that entire week off to take care of me. He's the greatest I go Monday for my pre-admission testing and nutritional class at Centennial. YaYY! Hope everyone has a nice relaxing weekend. April

That's great April. Your time will go by fast as long as you stay focused and keep busy. This is a rebirth. Think about it, when a baby is born, they can only have formula, liquids type. Then they go into the second stage of soft foods, about 6-12 months they start learning to eat harder foods. I now have 3 birthdays. The day I was born, when I became a Christian, and now Jan. 9 is my third birthday. Although I was able to eat some hard foods over soft, I am now back to liquids. That's ok, cuz of all the IV's I've been on, I haven't lost anything over over a week. But working out three times a week, is still burning off calories and building muscle. You keep plugging away at the spring cleaning, then you can come over and do mine. ya, Kathy

haha, it's taken me 3 months to get up the gumption to do all this cleaning I have planned.... key word "planned." There still is a possibility I won't do it I've read of a lot of people "stalling" or "adjusting" during the very beginning. At least you aren't gaining weight Keep up with what you're doing. Hopefully you'll be able to graduate to more solid foods soon?? I'm sure it will be a joyous day for you! April

Hello April, I just found out my surgery date has been pushed up to the 11th instead of the 17th. So now I am in a total panic mode to make sure I get everything done in time.So we will have our "rebirth day" together. Hope you have a great weekend. Now I need to tell my children it has been set up a week earlier. Take care, barbara
