Insurance Letter?

When sending for approval to your insurance company, did anyone include a personal letter written by yourself? I know the Dr writes one and all of the other information but did you write a letter yourself too and include it? I have heard that some people do this and some don't. I just wanted feedback to see if I should write a letter to include in my file when submitting for approval. Thanks Misty

I don't see the harm in preparing one; especially since they denied you the first time. Also, I would have some pictures. Perhaps over the past several years. I wrote a letter and got pictures for each year since 2000.. just in case. Writing the letter was a little theraputic for me. I put a lot of thought and emotion regarding my weight and how it was affecting my life... just pretty much my life story because I have been overweight since I was a child. In my opinion it wouldn't hurt to write a letter. April
