Hi all! I hope to become more a contributor to the TN board - we just moved from Alaska - and I miss my support group up there. My hubby and I had surgery in March of 2004 - so we are close to 2 years out and having a blast. Just wanted to introduce myself....say a big hello - and look forward to talking with everyone more - helping where I can - and probably getting some advice myself from time to time. To the newbies - congratulations! You are on the road to better health! To the people laying in wait - I know it is hard time - you'll make it -be persistant and ask as many questions as you can!!!! Good luck to all! Leah 305/150/145

Leah, welcome to our beautiful state. Cons on having your surgeries. I bet you and hubby are having a blast with your new lives. I had mine on Jan. 9, and I just love the new me surfacing, and no regrets. I struggled with one Dr. after another, until I found one who would do my surgery when I found out I had leukemia. I feel great, just tire easily from having surgery, elbow surgery last week, and being on chemo every night. But as any one on this board they will tell you I am a fighter for a cause. Enjoy life to the fullest, Kathy

Hi Kathy! With you attiude, you'll accomplish much! Thanks for the warm welcome - so far I just absolutely love it here. We are in Cleveland - and exploring more all the time. I hope that you totally enjoy this rapid weight loss phase you are in. I remember just being so excited to get up each day and see what the scale said. I've heard it both ways - on whether or not to get on the scale each day - but I did - for me it was a motivator. I wouldn't get upset if it didn't move - as I stayed rationale about it. But it so joyful to see the numbers just dropping so quickly. Just do what works for you with the scales! HA! I'll keep you in my prayers in your fight with luekemia. Leah

April - Congrats - as I know it is hard work and emotional getting to the point of getting the paperwork in - then having to wait. I do remember that all too well. Good Luck! Leah
