just thought I'd share..
my insurance company has received my paperwork, its been scanned into the system and sent to be reviewed. I should have an answer in 7-14 business days. I'm asking everyone to keep their fingers crossed for me, and keep me in your thoughts and prayers. I can't believe I'll finally have an answer within a couple of weeks. I'll be so relieved just to get a yes or no (hopefully a yes). Thanks for letting me share!

I work for the State of Tennessee also, I have Cigna POS Open Access Plan......I was approved within 2 days....I had 6 months of supervised diet, psych eval, nutritionalist meeting and only a few co-morbids....I was approved easily.......If it is a State Insurance Plan it should cover it if you meet the qualifications......I am here at MTSU and was surprised that they called the doctor in 2 days.....I called myself just to hear it and was surprised to find out that I had actually been approved the same day it was scanned in.....I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you.....Good Luck....never give up!

I too work for the State of Tennessee and I too have Cigna POS open access. I have started on you journey to weight loss surgery and have had most everything done except an endoscopy that was required because I have GERD. I hope and prayer that your surgery goes well and I ask that you pray for me that I will be approved without much difficulty. Please pray for me.

April, Your day is coming, can't wait for it to happen. Where are you having yours done?
