Hi Everyone, Sorry I don't post to often just been trying to get things done with wrapping up my 6 month supervised diet. I did a whole 7 months so that my insurance would have no excuse as to not except it as a full 6 months. I did my diet through the dietician/nutrionist at my Surgeons office which is the Metabolic Surgery Center at Baptist. And it was submitted to my insurance company on Feb. 3rd. I called to check the status and they said more information on my diet is needed such as clinical notes from a clinical dietician or my PCP. Well the information that was submitted was from both. I would go once a month to my dietician to be weighed in and go over my diet and excercise program and then once a month to my PCP for him to log in the results and let him know what was going on. So I don't see how that isn't enough information. I know I rambling just wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem. I currently have a call into my PCP to get the last 8 months of my medical history and one into my surgeons office to see if there is anything else I need. Well thanks for listening to me vent. Justin

Hi Justin. I'm a patient of Metabolic Surgery Center too. I love Dr. Spaw and the entire staff! I would suggest you call Tiana and Ellen and let them know what the insurance company told you about needing more info. I know they are both great to work with and will do anything they can to help. Sometimes the insurance companies seem to yank our chains just to see if we will give up and go away. Good luck and don't give up the fight!!
