Hi Laura;
I'm going to surgery Mar 21st. I have Medicare and it went through like a breeze. I too had complications which made it work out better, colesterol, type 2 diabetes, Lupus etc.
I think every one here can say "been there and done that" with the dieting "Merry go Round".
I'm really looking forward to getting my WLS. I really feel this will give me the tool I need to over come all this weight, weight related complications, and medicines.
I wish you only the best on your journey and my prayers will be with you.
Your new friend,
Ron
HI Laura, I just had my surgery on Jan. 9 with the same Dr. That is doing Ron's surgery. I too have medicare and medicade, no prior approvals. I think everyone who's obese has problems with their metabolism. You have a neighbor, Toni Miller, her one year anniversary is coming up in March. She lives in Gallatin and is a real sweet lady. You shouldn't have any problems getting your surgery. I wish you the very best. Kathy
