everyone, well the news is in. Dr. Colquitt was pleased with the 30 lbs I lost, my scales said 37. But where I usually wear shorts, and a shirt I wore jeans and a sweat shirt. Added weight. I lost a few inches. I was pleased a*****h about that. My first weigh-in and measurements was 277.5, bust 51, waist 52, and hips 57 and a half. Today I am 48 in the bust, 44 in the waist, and 55 in the hips. My white blood count for my leukemia was in normal range. Even my potassium was higher then before. I've gone from 26/28 pants to size 22. And I feel hot to trot right now. Even with all my ing, I must be doing something right. He's not pleased that I haven't been taking my chewable Flintstone vitamins, how a child is supposed to chew them I'll never know, they just about broke my dentures on one. So he wants me to try a different one. So for those who aren't sure about having the gastric bypass, it really does work. I don't go back again until April. Even though I still have to have blood work done on the 9th of each month. I still can't walk far, I tire out easily. One being from the surgery, two being from a minor surgery last week to put in a port, and three because of the leukemia. But each day is a new day and I look forward to it. Have a great afternoon. Kathy, it sounds like you're making great progress. As far as the chewable vitamins, GNC has a great one called Solotron. You have to take Vit C, Iron and Calcium in addition because they aren't in it but they sell those in chewables too. (except for the iron, it's not chewable) The childrens vitamins are nasty tasting along with being too hard to chew. Talk to you later. Toni

How does the manufactures think children can chew them if adults can't. He did get on my case because I wasn't taking them, told him one they are too hard to chew with my dentures and they are nasty tasting and won't stay down. they will have to wait until next month as I'm broke at the moment. I have elected to go with the B12 shots once a month. Pills aren't staying down these days. Oh well, not sure when I will get to Nashville, but I'll let you know when I will be. I have right elbow surgery on Tuesday and it will take about 6 weeks to heal. I'm right handed, so I will be out of commision for a while. Love Ya, Kathy
