Tom, first off you are pre-op not post-op. That comes afterwards. I'm down to 35 days and counting. I know you must be excited, because I sure am for you. What you will do after you see your surgeon, is the week before surgery is get registered at the hospital, blood, ekg, chest x-ray. Jolly good ole time being poked. They have to put a port in me as the veins in my hands and arms basically non existent. A port is either done in the chest vein or in the juggler vein. My veins are so tiny they can barely draw blood, and the needles for an IV are too big causing my veins to blow. CBC blood for my leukemia has to be taken from a finger. I can't remember where you are having your surgery, do you have an angel to keep us posted? If not, I'll be glad to help you out there. Just say the word.
