I'm sooo depressed...

Dear Kathy, Thank you so much for responding to my post with your kind words. It really meant a lot to me. Finding this board and all of the wonderful people here, has been a Godsend to me. Thank you sooo much. (see my newest post on this board - I believe TN has a new law that requires all ins co's to cover WLS according to the NIH guidelines! This is to take effect 1/1/06!) yes go through with the appeal. I think BCBS of TN is reviewing on if they want to continue to cover the WLS. I got a call from the insurance company last week asking me if I would like to do a phone survey for them reguarding the WLS. Of course I said yes. They asked about my quality of life before surgery and after. About complications and over all how I felt about the procedure. They also asked about co morbidities I had. When I told the lady that I hadn't had to use my inhaler in the past yr for my asthma she was thrilled. I think they are starting to realize that even though this is a costly procedure that in the long run it will save them money because of the medical issues that it does help with. The lady also asked if it would be alright to contact me again after I get to the two yr mark and I told her most definately. *huggles* Just remember that everything has it's season. When its time for you to have this procedure it will happen. Of course you fight with all you have to make that happen though. Best wishes.

Dear Dixie Flower, Thank you so much for responding to my post! Sorry I am just now writing back but I have had a lot going on. I really appreciate your advice and it is good to remember that "everything has it's season." So simple yet so true. I have read that TN passed a new law that will require all ins co's to cover WLS based on the NIH guidelines beginning in January 2006. HOORAY for us!!!
