Hi Derrick, can't answer you on John Deer Tenn Care, but I have Blue care of Tncare. They may deny you at first, but the surgeon will appeal on your behalf. The best thing to do is look on the back of your card, Call the 800 # and ask for a case manager. They will help you and your Dr. is getting approval. Get referrals from all your Dr.'s and it must state medical necessity and how the surgery will help with the medical probelms you have now due to obesity. Tncare also told me that if I can't get a surgeon here (been denied by 8 surgeons since July) and I have to go out of state, they will pay everything, with no prior approval. Best of luck. Hi Derrick, Yes, all of the TennCare's cover the surgery as long as you meet the medical requirements. Usually that is a bmi of over 40 and/or 1 or more co-morbidities (hypertension, diabetes, etc.). Call the number on the back of your card and they will tell you their criteria for approving it. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress. Greg

I don't have any experience with John Deere, but I do know that Dr. Husted's profile shows that several people have had surgery with him and their insurer is listed as John Deere.
