Just curious, wondering how many short people have had this surgery. Will I shrink in height as I shrink in weight? Just kidding, well kinda. I know my feet/shoe size got smaller when I lost weight in the past. Something I thought about while in the bathroom this morning...I won't need to buy as much toilet tissue!! Silly, huh?

Hi Wilda, are you like your name, wild? I am 5'3" now. I have that osteoprosis (sp.). My doctors nurse said I was too young to have that. Said it usually hits people over 50, well when I started laughing, she wondered why until I reminded her that I was 51. She just got so used to me saying I was 29 with 22 years of practice. I haven't heard of anyone shrinking in height but you will lose it in the feet. Maybe then I can quit tripping over mine. LOL I agree on the tissue part. Later gal. Kathy

I'm 5'1", but I haven't been measured since my DS last December. I have seen some posts where people say they *did* get shorter---maybe from losing the fat pad on the bottoms of their feet. I know my fingers have gotten a LOT smaller, and I'm down one and a half shoes sizes---and I don't need the 'wide' ones any more!

I've had a couple of people tell me that they got a half inch or so of there height back because the weight was pushing them down. I'm 5' 3" used to be 5' 3" 3/4. Lisa
