lapand, dr hruska , tenncare

Hey you beautiful people. I wanted to start off by saying Thank the Gods that when I started this process I found this website it has been an endless opporunity to get support and info. I come asking for anyone that has been in my shoes, Has anyone had the lapband by Dr. hruska and with tenncare as the insurance. If you so please post any info that will be helpful. I know that tenncare is going thur whatever you want to call it I just hope it holds a little longer. Thank you again

A friend of mine has had Lap Band with Dr H. She does not have Tenncare though. Her name is Elizabeth Gilbert. You can find her on the Lap Band forum. Good Luck Nicky

Did you manage to get approved for lapband?? If so that is awesome. I know when I was lookin into a surgeon the case manager I had with bluecare said that tncare wouldn't cover lapband because it was still considered to be "too" experimental. I hope they changed thier minds on that one. I also hope the tncare mess gets straightened out. *huggles*

Thank you both for the responses I will look up your friend online and about the tenncare and lapband they so far seem to be ok w/ it i have not been told anything about them not approving everyone including my case manager seems to be pretty certain they will.
