Looking up

Today has been good for me. I've fought nausea some, but did manage to have about 1/4 of a bowl of egg drop soup (pre-ops, you'll soon learn this is a must of survival for a post-op) and 1/4 of a chicken breast with some refried beans topped with cheese for dinner. I even had a skinny cow ice cream sandwich for a snack. I am supplementing what I take in with my tube feeds and lotsa water through my tube. Life minus the staples in my would has made getting up and around much easier, as well. Hubby and I spent about an hour walking around in Wally World today and I fit into a pair of sweatpants I used to look like a sausage in. So, life is good. I just want to thank all of you. First you let me fuss and whine when I was trying to get my insurance to cover my surgery. And now as a post-op with some complications, I have found nothing but care and compassion here. May you all be blessed. Kelly

Eva, Eggdrop soup is a staple at any Chinese restaurant. It also has good protein in it and goes down easily. Asian stores also have the soup mix in packets which you add egg to and these are easy to fix. Kelly
