I had my consultation this morning with Dr. Boyce in Knoxville. He said he will send in my packet in a week and BCBS has been taking 3-4 weeks to respond so now I have more waiting... oh well, what is a little more anyways!?!? I made sure to do all my paperwork and legwork before my consult so I hope it goes smoothly. Has anyone heard any comments about Dr. Boyce, or was he anyones surgeon?
Hi, I attended his seminar a year ago. Most Dr.'s would rather you be off blood thinners at least 2 weeks prior to surgery, he prefers you stay on the blood thinners, said he would rather have a bleeder, then blood clots. I didn't make any appointments with him because of the $3000 up front money. I am seeing Dr. Colquitt in Nashville. He came down from $3000 to $500. Even that is hard for me, but I don't have to pay it all at one time. Best of luck with your choice. Hugs, Kathy
