As a part of Obesityhelp's on going "OH hits the road" plan we will be holding a regional event in the city of Nashville Tennesee! Okay, I have a question about this!! I called the hotel reservations at Doubletree on 4th Avenue & talked with Larry on 10/14/04. He said he has no record of this meeting being held at their facility on this date! So what gives? Is there a special name this event is listed under? He read off every meeting being held on 11/13/04 and not one name was Obesity Help or anything with the word Bariatric, or Support Group or any other recognizable word. He wanted to know what the event group code for the meeting was so I could get the event discounted rates, but your web site has no special code for the hotel, and no one at Doubletree had the event listed at all. So I'm confused now. Is there a meeting going to happen or not? Is there a special rate code for staying at the hotel or not? HELP! I'm frustrated. Thanks. karen (open rny, 9/6/01, 297/135)

Karen, The reason they do not show us in the "meetings list" is they only list meetings at hotel that have room-blocks. We have not blocked out rooms because 99% of the attendees will not be staying the night. However, the catering department will be able to confirm for you that we are indeed booked for a meeting room. This is called "catering only" meetings.
