To all that have provided support for me while going through my GB surgery. All of the kind words and thoughts were much appreciated! I am now just shy of 5 months out and have dropped a little over 150 lbs. Most of medications have been ceased and I feel fantastic! I have gone down about 6-8 pant sizes already. Have experienced no problems post-op and am doing well with being able to eat pretty much any foods but in smaller amounts (always remembering to go for protein first!). I have experienced sickness from taking "one bite too many" at least once (and it does come on quickly for me so I am accute to my full state now) and have gotten food stuck once (from eating too fast) in the first few weeks after surgery (drank a little water and laid down and relaxed and it was fine). This surgery was a great thing for me, basically a life changer. So much so, I have accepted a position an ivy league college and am relocating to the northeast at the end of October. There is no way I would have consider taking a chance in life such as this before. I hope all of my OH friends continue to do well and I'll pop in from time to time just to say hello and update my page (which is sorely lacking I know). Take care everyone! Hang in there all of you post-ops as it does get better with time and to all the pre-ops waiting the system, don't despair; there are a lot of good people here that will keep you motivated! Thanks again for all of the support!!!
