will surgeon perform baratric with a previous nissions fundiplacation?

I need baratric surgery, how ever I've had nissans fundiplacation " to stop acid reflux" performed in 1999, as a result, I cannot find a surgeon willing to perform the baratic surgery now. Has anyone had the nissans switched? I am 53 years of age and time is of essence any information will be helpful.. I've had three Dr's to turn me down..thanks

Hi, I didn't have that even though my Dr. wanted to do it over a year ago, I ended up moving south so it's never been done. I do however have a very small airwave that has to be dialated prior to surgery. Don't fret on the three Dr.'s, I have been denied 8 times, 5 just 2 weeks ago. I saw a surgery this morning who seems really positive that he will be able to help me. I even contacted the Cleveland Clinic figuring that if they denied me, then I wasn't to have the surgery. But this morning changed all that. Don't give up, keep fighting to have it. I have met several dr.'s so if you need phone numbers or want to know about certain ones, don't hesitate to email me.
