I AM CRUSHED!!!!
Well called the surgeons office today....and their is a two year waiting list on the lap band.I e-mailed TLC to see if their is anymore surgeons that takes my insurance, but I am pretty sure there isn't.Man,I am crushed.I figured a year maybe, but 2 years?I may not have this insurance in 2 years.I just want to cry. Please everyone keep me in your prayers and hope there are more surgeons that take my insurance where the waiting list isn't so long.I AM READY TO GET THIS DONE!Thanks so much everyone.I had to let it out GRRRRRRRRRRRRR.Seems like as soon as I get somewhere I get knocked down. But I know I must stay grounded and hope for the best, and not give up....thanks for the prayers and best wishes

Wendy,
Just wanted to say don't give up.
Rely on the Lord's timing and not your own.
Your in my thoughts and Prayers,
Angela
I haven't called Dr,Woodman yet.I don't know if he accepts my insurance.Someone told me he accepts medicaid, but he makes them pay 3,000 up front.I contacted TLC,and they are looking for more surgeons for me.They said they know of a couple already, but want to get all they can get before they send me the list.So guys, keep me in your prayers, and thanks so much.GOD BLESS!
You might want to do what I did to find a surgeon. I have BlueCare and found out that all of the insurances have a case management division. I called them up after trying to find a surgeon for 3 months. I was assigned a case manager she took down all of my medical info and in about a month was able to find me a surgeon. She did all of the footwork for me. My problem with finding a surgeon was my very high BMI and also the insurance I had. But she had access to all of the surgeons in the network and was able to find one that would absolutely take me. My case manager stayed on my case until I was out of surgery and recovering fine. Which ended up being almost exactly a yr after she was assigned my case. She was an absolute godsend in me getting this journey started. Hope this helps *huggles*
