A Big TN Howdie to all: I am rather new to posting but have read postings on here for over a year. I have decided to have wls, and I have a date for Nov. 19th with Dr. Watson in JC. I have noticed how couragous and supportive you all are. I guess my problem is this:I am becoming a big chicken. The close the date gets the more butterflies I get. I am scared to death. I know if the Good Lord says it is my time, it will be my time no matter what, but I can't get over the fear. Any help or suggestions? Anyway, congrats to all you losers. tanya

Tanya, Butterflies are normal; if you didn't have them, then you'd need to worry. I've researched and researched til my hubby swears I could prolly do thi surgery myself, and then I fought my insurance carriers for a good six weeks before I got approved. And now, well now I'm just waiting for my pre-ops and surgery on October 19th. And trust me, I got a ton of butterflies, too. Best of luck, Kelly

Hi Tanya, and welcome!! All I can tell you is, there isnt a person on this site that didnt feel exactly like you do right now. And you'll get more butterflies the closer it gets. However, the day of my surgery, I was cool as a cucumber! An incredible calm came over me and I knew things were going to be just fine. I've heard many people say the same thing. And you're right, whatever is meant to be will be. No amount of worry will change that. Just pray about it and keep the faith. God will take care of you! Good luck hon and God bless! Melanie
