I went Monday evening to Franklin for Dr. Oxley's seminar. I spoke with him and his nurse Pam. He wanted to know why I wasn't going thru Knoxville or Johnson City. We all know how those Dr.'s turned out. I even called Hodge back to see if he would reconsider changing his mind, and because of that negative psych eval he refuses. So I am also checking into Chattanoga. Anyways, Dr. Oxley won't set a date until he receives prior approval from Medicare and Medicare doesn't give prior approval. They said for him to have the bills submitted and they go from there, with Medicare A & B, TN medicade, with Blue Care crossover. Surely that is enough to guarantee any Dr. of payment. The only thing he needs to have pre-cert is TN medicade. But he still refuses, even after talking to the medical director of medicare. So I don't know what is going to happen. I wasn't able to attend Centennials seminar on Tuesday, my son was sick from something he ate over the weekend, and I can't see well to drive after dark. Friends, this is getting on my ever lasting nerves. Any suggestions would be helpful. Love Kathy

Thanks Kristie, Blue care only pays for my medications, Medicare is my primary with TN medicade. I will call this Dr. Wright, blue care isn't the problem. TN medicade pays for hospital what medicare won't. I have fought for this so long, not only am I not getting anywhere, now my wheelchair won't go anywhere either. It's broke. Walking is so painful even with my walker. I fell twice while visiting my son in Nashville, right on the same hip. I just hope I haven't refractured it. I have a case manager and Dr. Oxley's nurse has it to call Barb. I am not giving up, I am just so frustrated. I want to scream. Again thanks Kristie, best of luck in your journey. Hugs, Kathy

I know for sure that Dr. Wright's office takes patients with Medicare as Primary insurance. And Vandy has a wonderful program.....give them a call. It sometimes takes a while to get in, but it's worth it.

Thanks everyone. I will call Dr. Wright's office tomorrow and go from there. I still want to hold back before jumping to fast, to see if Dr. Oxley comes thru after all. He's to talk to Dr. Winter, the medical Director with Medicare this week and get back to me. Love yas, Kathy

Hi Kathy, I am seeing Dr. Wright on 12/1, and he does accept medicare and tncare. Medicare is my primary and Tncare picks up the rest. I couldn't believe it when his office told me they accepted both insurances. If the other Dr. don't work out call Dr. Wrights office and talk with them. Good luck!
