Obesity Walk...I was there!

Where were you all? I made it to the Obesity Walk in Nashville Saturday morning and looked for everyone. I did meet Carol White who was working the OH booth. Shes a very sweet lady and it was a pleasure to talk to her. For those of you who are patients of Dr. Husted, you missed quite a show. He sang an Merle Haggard song with one of the contestants from the Nashville Star show. All the surgeons were there, and there were booths from area hospitals with some great literature on the surgical options available. There were freebees also, including water bottles, duffle bags, pens, and fruit. Channel 4 and Fox were there covering the event. It was a great time and i'm sorry I didnt get to meet any of you. Mellie, I wanted to attend, but wasn't up to it so soon after surgery. I am walking now, 6 times around the Jr. High Football Stadium's track!!! My goal is to be able to get in a brisk walk for an hour a day, 30 mins in the morning before work, and 30 mins in the evening. I'm not quite there, but I'm working on it. It sounds like we all missed a great time. Hugs Carol

Hi Mel, sorry I didn't get to make it. We were up real late the night before, and my son didn't wake me up until after 11am. But there's always another time. Which Dr.'s group do you work with? I am attending Centennials seminar tomorrow evening at 6pm. Barb Krantz is going to meet me there, even though she is post-op, she's one of my angels and we are going to meet tomorrow evening.
