Heard from Barb Krantz

Hi everyone, Barb finally got enough energy to send me an email. Now mind you her surgery was the end of July, silly woman ate three small bites of a fried catfish nugget and has been horribly sick basically since surgery. She's had to go thru the withdrawls of pain medication and ended up back into the hospital a week after surgery. This time it was nibbling on a FRIED food. When I see her this weekend, I may just have to take my wheelchair over her toes. She has lost 40# since surgery more then the Dr. wanted, but she has been pretty sick. She won't be eating Fried foods for a long while. She's at the stage now of questioning what did she do to herself, and wondering if it was worth it. So send some prayers her way. I hope that she is feeling better. I can't remember the last time I ate something fried....or with sugar. But I must admit I do eat some carbs. Gotta do something right???? Anne

Hiya Kathy and thanks for updating us on Barb. I've been worried about her. I have the same problem if I eat fried foods. They just dont agree. Its a good deterant though lol. Please send her our love and well wishes. Shes in my prayers as always. God bless! Melanie

Hi everyone, I'm in Nashville at the moment, Barb called me last night, again today, and we're getting together tomorrow. DH gave her his honey due list today, so she's pretty tied up. She is crazier then a box of rocks on the phone. She'll keep you laughing. I'm attending the seminar tonight for Dr. Oxley in Franklin, then one tomorrow evening at Centennial. On Wednesday I go home, and will kiss my hospital bed. I haven't been able to sleep good since I got to my son's. I have a hard time getting comfortable in his twin bed that's in the babies room. I miss the triangle thing over my bed that I use to help me roll over, or sit up, even getting out of bed. Friday I actually drove over to Nashville alone from where I live. It's about 4 hours, I was soooooooo nervous driving that distance and on wet highways. I didn't have the confidence in my driving after being in a wheelchair for a year. I was so stiff from the drive, had to walk down the stairs to get to my son's apartment. Back up the stairs when we went out that night. My birthday is this weekend, but they celebrated it on Friday, we went to the Wildhorse Saloon to hear Ronnie Milsap sing. By the time I hit my bed all I wanted was sleep. Saturday instead of baby shoppng, we rested, then 6 of us went to Logan's for dinner. Last night, Silvia's mom, sister, and brother came over. Phillip and Greg got back from the Titans game, my other son, wife, and grandson came over after dinner. We thought they would never leave. Phillip had to be up around 4am to take Greg to the airport so he could get back to OK. So rest I haven't had, sleep (what's that). Stiffness, plenty of it. Will update tomorrow regarding the seminar. Luv Kathy
