PROTEIN RECIPES URGENTLY NEEDED
Me either Carol. I had my surgery on September 9th. I am feeling very well and getting around great but it seems I can only get about 1-2oz of pureed food at a time in. I can drink A protein shake a day but that is so not enough. I can get all of my water and all of my pills but me and the food thing aren't cutting it yet. I did make a shake the other day, by accident, that tasted very good to me....like a Reese's cup. I took a Creamy Vanilla Carb Options shake, added a teaspoon of NATURAL (less sugar) peanut butter and a scoop of American Whey unflavored protien powder to it in the blender....added an ice cude just to give it a little icy feeling and sipped on it for four hours. It was great!
Hi Carol, the recipe from the prior person is one that several have used and love it. When you find protein recipes, please let me know. I'm still pre-op but not getting enough protein in now as it is. Something has been really upseting my digestive system. On the main entrance, is a board for recipes. Maybe that will help. But I have heard about the natural peanut butter, ice cube, shake, can't remember if it was Katie, or Michele Ray. They used the slim fast low carb drink and did it with the chocolate flaver.
Best of luck sweetie, maybe you will find some good recipes on the main entrance. Kathy
Hiya Carol sweetie! I drank the Isopure low carb drinks in the first weeks following surgery. After that I used the Spirutein shakes for a week. Once I was able to eat food tuna was the best source. However, all of our tastes vary and my best advice is try everything. If you like the taste it will be much easier to achieve your daily quota. I hope you're doing well! God bless you hon!

Hi Carol, I can't help but notice it's been 3 months since your last posting. How are you doing? How's the weight lose coming? I for one really miss you emotions with your postings. There are so many new ones on the board, that it's hard to keep up. I'm still on the look out for a surgeon. Get back to us, you are missed. Love ya, Kathy
